Toby is married to Sandpoint native Michael Ann McLaughlin. Toby lives in Sandpoint and enjoys the company of old friends and his busy family. He is interested in all things outdoors – skiing, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, soccer, biking, and traveling. Prior to entering law school, Toby earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Idaho and had a fellowship at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) where he assisted in systems engineering. He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Idaho and Washington. Toby now heads the litigation practice at Berg, McLaughlin & Nelson, involving civil litigation, real estate law, personal injury, contract disputes and small business issues. There he focused on real estate law, civil litigation, creditor’s rights and white collar criminal defense.
